At Heritage, all of our ministries are aimed toward three goals, glorifying God, making and being disciples, and loving our neighbors. These goals affect how we do ministry at every age level.
We highly value praise and worship, both corporate and private.
Our discipleship is all about learning and living God's word through relationships. In a process we call life on life discipleship, we pour into and mutually encourage each other to radically follow Jesus.
Loving our neighbors begins with listening to both our neighbors and the Holy Spirit. We highly value ministries that build long term relationships and bring long term solutions.
In Mathew 19:14, Luke 18:16, and Mark 10:14, Jesus indicates that the presence of little children is valuable to him, even making a point that each of us must become like a child in order to inherit the kingdom of God. As a result, at Heritage we value children as a vital part of the church. Our heartbeat is to see every child discipled to spiritual maturity, challenging them as young followers of Christ. Parents and guardians play a key role in this process, so it is our goal to encourage parents as they disciple their children and learn alongside them, providing them with necessary tools and support.
Our philosophy is that of serving as senders. We partner with full time workers and indigenous believers to effectively take the gospel to the ends of the earth. We see the support and encouragement of these workers as our primary calling. This is done through finances, visits, projects, prayer, and any other way that presents itself. When we work overseas, we submit ourselves to the leadership of these local workers.
We currently have partnerships in two countries and support work in another. All are in either Central or Southeast Asia. For security purposes locations are not published electronically.
We have several small groups meeting each week for men, women, and children. Our Discipleship Groups are designed to take a believer through a process of learning and applying God's word daily with a goal of being able to lead their own group.
These groups are mixed-gender and intergenerational and focus strongly on God's word, prayer, and developing personal worship and study.
